Donald McNAIR. Private 4206, 1/5th Seaforth Highlanders. Born 21 February 1892 to John and Margaret McNair, nee McQuillan of 26 Bechfield Street, Belfast, Ireland. 19 December 1912 at Ballymacarrett parish church, Belfast he married Sarah Wilson of 17 Bloomfield Drive, Belfast. He was residing at 10, Ferguson Drive, Strandtown, Belfast, Ireland, husband of Sarah. Killed in action 13 November 1916 aged 24. His widow was granted a war gratuity 11 April 1917, revised 24 November 1919.
Commemorated on two Poppy Crosses, in a plant pot on a family grave in in plot B3, grave 207 Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Northern Ireland. His father Donald McNair MBE is at rest in this plot.
