Born 14th April 1921, who was lost off Norway on the 11th August 1944 whilst serving as a fighter pilot with the Fleet Air Arm and was buried at Kristlansland Norway.
Sub-Lieutenant (A) Fleet Air Arm, 1770 Squadron, HMS Indefatigable, Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve. Son of Captain Frederick, M.B.E., and Gladys Elizabeth of 79, Lancaster Crescent, The Avenue, Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, and nephew of Mr S.K. Jones of Hartshill.
Commemorated on a family memorial in Hartshill Cemetery, Hartshill, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.
