D703 TERENCE WILDER GAY FRENCH. Lieutenant (A) Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm on HMS Glorious. Died 11th March 1940 at RAF Hal Far, Malta from multiple injuries, 2/3rd degree burns from the result of aircraft accident when landing at night. Son of John Gay French and Eleanor May nee Pipe Wolferstan. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence in England was Poplar Hall, near Faversham, Kent, died on date stated. His effects went to Kathleen French, widow and Walter Henry Oldfield, police detective.

At rest in Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta Plot D Grave 703.

His brother 2nd Lieutenant John Gay died 16 November 1929 whilst serving with the Royal Artillery.
