Extended Description: Private 5047701 Cyril WHITING, 2nd North Staffordshire Regiment. Killed in action at Anzio, 30th May 1944 aged 28. Son of Arthur and Minnie May Wood, husband of Doris nee Bennion who he married 13 August 1934. At the time of his marriage he was residing at 4 Snow Hill, Stafford. At rest in Beach Head War Cemetery, Anzio, Italy

This memorial is at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.
