Extended Description: Private 14922, 12th Service Bristol Battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment who fell in the battle of the Somme 3rd September 1916 aged 33, while rendering aid to a stricken comrade. Son of Isaac & Eliza of School House, Yate and husband of Amy Florence nee Edwards who he married in 1905.

Commemorated in a memorial at St Mary's churchyard, Yate and is buried at Guillemont Road, Cemetery, Guillemont, France
