On the 15th January 1953, Lancaster TX270 collided with Valetta VX562 off Malta with 26, fatalities. This tree is donated by Stephen Chandler MBE whose father's body was the only one recovered.
Sergeant 2236868 Victor Ronald Chandler, Royal Air Force stationed at RAF Luqa, Malta. Killed in an air crash 15th January 1953 aged 32. He is laid to rest in Imtarfa Military Cemetery, Malta
