COOKE Christopher Arthur Gresham. Midshipman, H.M.S., Vanguard, Royal Navy, died 9th July 1917 aged 18. Son of Arthur Cooke, F.R.C.S., and Lucy Vivian of Grove Lodge, Cambridge. Commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent.

KIRKUP Alfred William. Corporal 325671, 1st Cambridge Regiment, died 26th September 1917 aged 27. Son of Alfred and Alice of 75. King Street, Cambridge. Commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, Belgium.
KNOTT Charles Singleton. 2nd Lieutenant, C.Coy, 11th Royal Fusiliers, died 23rd March 1918 aged 19. Son of Mr and Mrs Hammett C Knott of 8. Cranmer Road, Cambridge. He was Head Boy of Perse School, Cambridge, and Scholar-Elect at St Peters College, Cambridge. Commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France.
MANN George Henry. (Military Medal) Sergeant 235374, 2nd South Staffordshire Regiment, died 1st October 1918 aged 28. Son of Henry John of 177. Victoria Road, Chesterton, Cambridge. Buried at St Sever Cemetery, Extension, Rouen, France.
MORGAN Fothergill Lewis. 2nd Lieutenant, 1/7th London Regiment, died 3rd December 1917 aged 28. Son of Lewis james and Ellen of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, and husband of Ethel B of Longstone, Milton Road, Cambridge. Buried at Rocquigny-Equancourt Road British Cemetery, Manancourt, Somme, France.
PHEAR Henry John. Lieutenant, Royal Field Artillery attached to 11th Army Brigade, died 17th October 1917 aged 28. Son of Henry Herbert and Alice Mary of Salisbury, Rhodesia. Born in Cape Privince. His brother Norman also fell. Buried at Adinkerke Military Cemetery, De Panne Belgium.
PHEAR Norman Carlyon. 2nd Lieutenant, 27th Squadron, Royal Flying Corps, died 20th November 1917 aged 19. Son of Henry Herbert and Alice Mary of Salisbury, Rhodesia and brother of Henry who also fell. Buried at Lapugnoy Military Cemetery, France.
PLATTS John Carrick. (CWGC have PLatts) Captain, 10th Duke of Cambridges Own Lancers (Hodsons Horse, attached 17th Indian Cavalry, died 7th March 1920 aged 22. Son of Rev Charles (formerly Transport Officer, 11th Suffolk Regiment) and Jessie Platts of 38. Harcourt Terrace, Earls Court, London and brother of Edgar who also fell. Buried at North Gate Cemetery, Baghdad, Iraq

Son of Rev Charles (formerly Transport Officer, 11th Suffolk Regiment) and Jessie Platts of 38. Harcourt Terrace, Earls Court, and brother of John who also fell. Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France
RAYNER Donald. Lieutenant, C. Coy, 1st Cambridgeshire Regiment, died 8th August 1918 aged 25. Son of George Green and Flora G of Glebelands Grange Road, Cambridge. Buried at Ribeout Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France.
SORLEY Charles Hamilton. Captain, 7th Suffolk Regiment, died 13th Octobert 1915 aged 20. Son of Mr W.R. and Mrs J.C. of St Giles, Chesterton Lane, Cambridge. Sorley, was educated at Marlborough, and won a scholarship to University College, Oxford. He enlist in August 1914 and soon found himself in the trenches, and he made Captain August 1915. Sorley, was killed in action at Loos of the same year. His Marlborough and Other Poems was published in 1916 and ran into four editions. It was said that, Sorley, had a real gift for rhyming. Commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.
WOOD Patrick Bryan Sandford. Lieutenant, 67th Wing, Royal Air Force, died 24th May 1918 aged 19. Son of Charles Wood, (Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge) and Charlotte Georgina of 17. Cranmer Road, Cambridge. Buried at Taranto Town Cemetery Extension, Italy
