Brian HARRIS. Reserve Constable Royal Ulster Constabulary
Died at the result of a road traffic accident whilst on mobile patrol in Belfast 28 October 1980 aged 23 years involving their land rover and a lorry.
Some died at the scene others at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. They were all stationed at Grosvenor Road Police Station, Belfast. I along with others were on shift briefing at 2300 hrs. I was sent to the RVH with some other officers to do ward security, the remaining were detailed for mobile patrol. About half an hour later we got a message about the accident, two officers went to emergency department.
It was a shock and hard to take in that they had died.

At rest in Roselawn Cemetery, Ballygowan Road Belfast.
