Bewick SISSON. Private 18467, Depot of Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment) Born 1896, baptised 14 June 1896 at Cotmanhay, Derbyshire. Son of Joseph Granville Sisson and Sarah Sisson, nee Lawton. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 1 and 2 Duke Place, Ilkeston. 1911 residing with his widowed mother and siblings at 1, Duke's Place, Church Street, Cotmanhay, Ilkeston. Occupation, Colliery pony driver underground aged 14 years. Died of wounds at Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley, Southampton, 26 March 1915 aged 18 years. His mother Sarah was granted a war gratuity 22 July 1915.

CWGC list his name as Bewick, yet the family stone on the grave states Buick.
