Bertha BARTLETT. Nurse, Newfoundland Canadian Military VAD.
Born 14 November 1894 at Brigus, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada to Robert and Mary S Bartlett, of Brigus, Conception Bay, Newfoundland.
She disembarked aged 22 at Liverpool from Newfoundland 26 November 1916 off ship St Paul. Her forwarding address was Queen Mary’s Hostel, London.
Mobilised 6 December 1916 4th Northern General Hospital, Lincoln and departed from the hospital, 4 July 1917. Died 3 November 1918 aged 23 years possible at Bermondsey, London. A joint gratuity was granted 14 December 1920 to her parents.
At rest in Earlsfield Cemetery, Wandsworth, London.
