Bernard Harold SPARROW. Driver 1920470, 701 General Construction Coy, Royal Engineers. The engineers were working at RAF Little Rissington laying three new asphalt runways in 1942. Born 1914 in Gloucestershire. Husband of Dorothy nee Hill in 1938, both were residing at Little Rissington when he joined up. Died Delaney Fever Hospital, Cheltenham 8 February 1942 aged 28 of cardiac failure brought on by diphtheria.

At rest in St Peter Churchyard, Little Rissington, Gloucestershire.
