BEBBINGTON Harold

BEBBINGTON, Harold, Gunner 85350 Royal Garrison Artillery died at Ilkley, Yorkshire 30th January 1919 aged 22. He was the son of Thomas and Agnes. He is at rest in All Saints Churchyard, Marthall, Cheshire Some notes from what remains of his army record. He enlisted on the 24th May 1916 aged 20 years and 9 months He lived at 11, Clarkson Shaw Street, Knutsford, Cheshire and was an agricultural warehousman. he was married in the 4th November 1915 at Budworth Church, Cheshire to Miss Gertrude Holland. On the 8th June 1916 he was posted as gunner to 33 Company, Medium Forte, the posted on the 9th December 1916 to Inner Defence, Portsmouth.
He was medically discharged under Para 392 (XVI) King's Regulations on the 25th May 1917 to his home at Hump Yard, Great Budworth, Cheshire. His disablilty was deafness following Cerebrospinal Fever
