Private 23546461, Arthur WHITING, Staffordshire Regiment Born on the 12th February 1940 Drowned in a boating accident on Naivash Lake, Nakuru County, Kenya, while off duty with two of his friends 21st October 1962 aged 22. He had not long been married and his wife was getting ready to join him. Her clothing etc had already been sent to him. No record was found as the outcome of friends.

At rest in Nairobi War Cemetery, Kenya. Plot 2 Row J Grave 8

There is a memorial plaque to him and his father at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.
