Arthur TYLER

Extended Description
Chief Engineer Arthur Tyler of Hull was aboard the SS Cavallo when it was bombed and sunk off Greece, April 1941. A lifetime served in the Merchant Navy.
It was sunk in an air raid in Nauplia Bay while discharging munitions. The ship sank the following day on the 25th May 1941. He is not recognised as a war death. Not listed with the CWGC.

This memorial plaque is at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.
