Born 24 October 1889 at Calton Glasgow to Allan and Elizabeth Murphy, nee Miller
1891 with his parents and siblings at 23 Millroad Street, Calton.
1901 with his parents and brother George at Stewarts Land Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire.
Executed for desertion of six months whilst on active service. 17 August 1916
His father was granted a war gratuity 10 April 1917.
At rest in Quatre-Vents Military Cemetery, Estree Cauchy, France.
