Notice the lack of cheer and jubilation at the arrest of Matteo Messina Denaro compared to Riina , Brusca and Provenzano

>defund the police + blm/antifa "summer of love" bs kicks the fan
>police gets defunded
>leos live en masse
>pds are understaffed
>not enough candidates to fill the gaps
>lower the hiring requirements out of desperation

>what could go wrong

Can't wait for the wake up call the US army will go through.

In the eyes of race-baiters, there is something called "systemic racism".

If a black person joins the "system, that black person becomes racist.

Therefore a black person joining the police isn't black anymore. That person does not become white either. Either that person becomes blue. Because blue is the color fo the police.
And the police being systematically racist, since it is part of "the system", these person joining the police either become racist or simply join the police because they are racist.

Thus the reason why BLM&cie, and even the MSM (CNN for instance) are pushing the narrative that: these 5 black cops killed that black man out of racism.

Should have dropped the knife right away. The swinging motion seems to me like an attempt to maintain balance considering he's walking on stumps. Do that while holding a knife and it might be interpreted as a throwing motion.

NEVER GO FULL TRUMPARD...

You're gonna have to explain that one buddy. You are clearly out of your lane when talking about things in general, but that comment of yours is... concerning.

You have absolutely no clue what's going, haven't you?

The Debrecen Regional Investigating Prosecutor's Office is investigating the 31-year-old man who attacked a police officer with a knife on Tuesday evening for the crime of violence against an official at gunpoint. According to the information, a car swept away a cyclist in an unnamed border settlement and the driver drove off without stopping. The vehicle involved in the accident was seen by a nearby resident,

the owner of the vehicle, who was in a drunken state, was found with a knife, 32 centimetres long and 19 centimetres long.

The man with the knife in his hand approached the police officer, who asked him to stop and put the knife down, but he did not do so and continued to approach the officer. The policeman began to back away and, in order to protect his physical safety, ordered the civilian who was at the scene to get into the police car, and then he got in and closed the doors, the prosecutor's office said.
In the meantime, the policeman was joined by his partner, and together they continued to take action against the man who threatened them. Still holding the knife in his hand and making stabbing and cutting motions, the perpetrator started to walk towards the service car, which was already using a distinctive light signal, and only dropped the knife after repeated requests.

The police officers got out of the car and the man made boxing motions towards them. Eventually, one of the officers used a baton on him and successfully handcuffed him using physical force and took him into custody.

You're not making any sense. If you're trying to say that European police agencies have a way of being able to not kill so many people, that's true. But better training seems to be a perfectly good explanation for that discrepancy, especially if hiring requirements had been lowered prior to Nichols' murder, just like @Ivan suggested. Another US-specific issue that goes under-appreciated from what I can gather is the power of the police unions, by the way, who obstruct any attempts to reform law enforcement from the top down.
Should have dropped the knife right away.
The only reason why I'd agree with that sentiment is that all those within the US of A should've realised by now the danger that comes with disregarding commands issued by American police officers. Due to the weight of the evidence, I'm perfectly willing to play the armchair quarterback here and state: There was no danger. Knife-throwing to kill is a movie trope, and if you can't contain a double-amputee without lethal force, who could you possibly hope to contain? Had this incident occured in your country or mine, every Dutch or German court would've sentenced the involved officers for manslaughter. That man didn't need to die, and had he even been the biggest scumbag in the world.
