About this one, the fact that this individual didn’t say a word while his stabbing spree is maybe what leads the Police authorities, including the minister of interior to believe that so far it’s not necessarily terrorism. Could be, though. Until his flat or possible acquaintances or family are being investigated a bit.

Man arrested in Britain on terrorism charges had uranium in his possession. Somebody's tea was about to glow in the dark?

"It was bound for an "Iranian business with premises in the UK," according to the British newspaper."

Second time in a week.

Update on this case. Quite the plot.

Iran International has obtained information about perpetrators of a botched operation by the Revolutionary Guard to assassinate an Israeli citizen in Georgia in November.

According to the new information, five individuals were the main members of a hit squad from the Quds Force Unit 400 of the IRGC, who sought to kill Itsik Moshe, a prominent businessman and the chairman of Israel Georgia Chamber of Business. Hacker group Backdoor (3ackd0or) provided Iran International with documents about their identities, place of residence, etc.

The five agents were Hossein Rohban, Mohammad-Reza Arablou, Mohsen Rafiei Miandashti, Farhad Fashaee and Ali Feizipour.
Moshe is also the chairman of Israeli House, the organization concentrated on public diplomacy for Israel in Eastern Europe, tasked with communicating directly with citizens of other countries to inform and influence them so that they support the Israeli government's strategic objectives.

Unit 400 of the Quds Force -- a division primarily responsible for extraterritorial military and clandestine operations – planned assassination of some Israeli officials in several countries, and a Pakistani team affiliated with al-Qaeda was tasked with gathering information in the operation in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

The operation was revealed when Georgian security forces noticed the suspicious activity of a member of the Pakistani team. The State Security Service of Georgia released a statement in mid-November saying that two Iranian-Georgian citizens -- Miandashti and Fashaee -- who were responsible for providing weapons for the assassination were arrested. They were cooperating with an arms smuggler in Turkey.

Georgia also said the one who ordered the murder – Rohban – was outside Georgia. According to data leaked by the 3ackd0or, he is residing in the northwestern city of Orumiyeh (Urmia). Arablou was also responsible for coordinating the team and is reportedly living in the city of Zanjan.

The leader of the team – Rohban -- was under the direct command of Hamed Abdollahi, the head of the Unit 400 who is wanted internationally following the disclosure of an assassination plot targeting Adel al-Jubeir, the former ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United States from 2007 to 2015. Abdollahi, who used to serve as the IRGC commander in Zahedan and also served as a deputy to slain Quds commander Qassem Soleimani, is also sanctioned by the US following the failed assassination.

Most of the members of the Quds Force Unit 400 of the IRGC were former comrades of Soleimani in the 41st Tharallah Division in Kerman, who later gathered under the title of Haj Qassem's guys. Soleimani – who was killed by a US air strike on January 3, 2020 -- was in charge of supporting and organizing militant proxy forces, including the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iraqi Shiite militia groups that were repeatedly attacking US forces in Iraq and elsewhere.

The news from Georgia came months after Israeli and Turkish intelligence agencies worked together to stop an Iranian plot to assassinate Israeli tourists in Istanbul. Jerusalem warned Israelis not to visit Turkey in June, and soon after, Turkey arrested eight members of an Iranian cell in hotel rooms in a popular tourist district, with weapons and ammunition.

In October 2021, Cyprus foiled an Iranian plotto attack Israelis, including billionaire Teddy Sagi, which Tehran denied. Cypriot authorities arrested a Russian-Azeri man who had a loaded pistol with a silencer in his rental car.

In recent years, there are numerous reports about assassinations of Iranian military commanders and sabotage attacks in Iranian industrial complexes, attributed to Israel, as well as numerous failed attempts to assassinate or kidnap Israeli officials in many countries. Iranian officials claim that they have dealt serious blows to Israel, but they cannot announce them due to confidentiality.

Sad news also. 5 people were killed and 5 others wounded in Georgia as the result of a shooting, perpetrated by a veteran of the Defence Forces.
The dead include a police officer who shielded civilians with his body.
First time something like this has happened, if I'm not mistaken.

A retired military veteran killed five individuals, including a police officer, and injured another five in Georgia’s eastern Kakheti region before committing suicide, the country’s Interior Ministry said on Friday.

The 49-year-old offender, who had served in the country’s Defence Forces between 2006 and 2021, including in the NATO-led peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan, shot the victims from balconies of a flat in the city of Sagarejo, before committing suicide as police in riot gear broke into the flat.

Vakhtang Gomelauri, the Georgian Interior Minister who arrived at the scene early on Friday, said the offender had been with his adult child, with the latter escaping the flat following the incident.

He also said the shooter had fired in the direction of police officers, with the 38-year-old Otar Gvinashvili, a senior detective of the Ministry’s Sagarejo department, receiving fatal injuries while using his body to cover another person during the shooting. Gvinashvili died later in hospital from the injuries.

Doctors said only one of the five individuals injured in the incident remained in critical condition and was undergoing surgery, while another had been moved to a Tbilisi facility for treatment of an eye injury.

Neighbours told local media the shooter had rented his flat and was reportedly undergoing treatment for psychological problems.

The police investigation into the incident is looking into the shooting with the articles of premeditated murder and illegal possession and keeping of firearms.

another "mostly peaceful" protest by the far leftists, with the far leftist media jumping through hoops to excuse it...

"The suspect was later identified as Jared Dowell, 23, of Melrose. AntifaWatch pointed out that the suspect is likely the child of the Democratic politician."
- what crap journalism at 23 its not "a child" but the son/daughter of whoever.
With many of these Democrats and their families "the mind of a child" is likely more appropriate ...

Andrey Medvedev: Russian Wagner mercenary who fled to Norway arrested

A former Russian paramilitary commander who claimed asylum in Norway earlier this month has been arrested by police.
Andrey Medvedev is being held under the Immigration Act, police spokesperson Jon Andreas Johansen told the BBC.
His lawyer, Brynjulf Risnes, told the BBC that the 26-year-old had been moved to a detention centre in the Oslo area.
Mr Medvedev, who crossed into Norway from Russia's far north two weeks ago, is believed to be the first member of the Wagner Group to defect to the West.
The mercenary group - which is believed to have close ties to the Kremlin - has been used in many Russian operations. UK officials estimate it makes up 10% of Moscow's forces in Ukraine.
The move came after "police concluded his situation was very dangerous," Mr Risnes told the BBC. "This is what everyone wanted to avoid, but we are looking for solutions."

Previously, he had been staying at a safe house.
Mr Medvedev's arrest meant he would be under increased security, the lawyer added. But he emphasised that the former mercenary was still being treated as a witness.
Mr Medvedev claims to have witnessed a host of war crimes - including seeing "deserters being executed" by the Wagner Group's internal security service - while fighting in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region.
Vladimir Osechkin, founder of the exiled Russian Gulagu.net rights group, said the ex-commander decided to leave after being informed that his contract would be extended indefinitely, and witnessing the group's "terroristic methods".
Mr Medvedev has indicated he is willing to testify against senior figures in the mercenary group.
In a statement seen by NRK, a special Norwegian police unit which interviewed Mr Medvedev said it was interested in his history in the group, which is believed to be heavily involved in two of Ukraine's bloodiest recent battles - in Soledar and Bakhmut.

After news of Mr Medvedev's arrest broke on Monday, Gulagu.net wrote on social media that the ex-commander had been told he would be deported from the country.
He feared being "brutally murdered" if returned to Russia, the founder of the rights group added. But the Norwegian authorities have not suggested Mr Medvedev would be deported.
Mr Risnes told the BBC that it was "absolutely not true" that his client was facing deportation, but said there may have been a misunderstanding between Mr Medvedev and Norwegian police.
Mr Osechkin did not immediately reply to a BBC request for comment, instead directing reporters to the group's statement on social media.
"We are not looking to whitewash Medvedev. He has done many bad things in his life," Mr Osechkin wrote on Facebook.
"But he has seen the light and is willing to cooperate with Norwegian and international authorities regarding the Wagner Group and its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin," he added.
