At 15.00 hours today (6th May 2008) the restored Vulcan bomber flew from is place of restoration to Land at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. Due to other commitments I could not go to see the plane arrive. However my friend went and I hope to get copies of his photos. When I do I will place them on the site.

It was not sure if the flight could take part today due to insufficient fire crew being on duty, as luck would have it six volunteer fire fighters stepped in to save the day.

Flying Vulcans

Great! I'm looking forward to the pix also. I saw one on it's last flight years ago in the UK and I've been hoping to see one fly again. A beautiful and impressive aircraft. I've had to watch the James Bond movie "Thunderball" to get a vulcan fix.
