Extended Description
FLEETWOOD John Henry. Private, 16288, 6th Battalion, York and Lancaster Regiment, Fell ill in the Balkans died in Malta 30th December 1915. Son of John and Elizabeth Susannah and step son of Mary Ellen of 50 Fletcher Street, Liverpool, husband of Alice Kells who he married on the 7th October 1911 at St Philemon's Church, Toxteth Park, Liverpool.. Both lived at 27 Enid Street, Liverpool. He was by occupation a boiler maker. He was 28 and she was 27.
Some notes from what remains of his army records. He joined up on the 15th September 1914 at Pontefract aged 31, occupation, boiler maker. He embarked from England on the 2nd July 1915 for the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force. While at Sulva he fell ill with dysentery. He was transferred to Malta on Hospital Ship, Sudan and admitted into St George Hospital where he died on the 30th December 1915. He left a widow and the following children - Nora, born 2nd December 1912, John Joseph born 29th January 1915.

BAKER William. Private, 15850, 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. He fell ill at Gallipoli and died in Hospital in Malta 29th December 1915.

MONK Leonard Gladstone. Private 23764, 8th Battalion, Royal Welch Fusilier. He died in St Pauls Hospital, Malta 29th December 1915 of pneumonia. He was the son of Arthur Robert and Alice. In 1911 he was living with his parents and siblings at 9 Cranbrook Road, Thornton Heath, Surrey.
